Assumption Council
Celebrates 100 Years
With a special Mass of Thanksgiving followed
by a banquet, Assumption Council 1099 celebrated its centennial on March
12, 2006.
The event was the culmination of many months
of preparation that included a renovation of St. Anne Hall that serves as
the council's
home. Following the Mass a large crowd
gathered in St. Anne hall for the banquet during which its deceased
members were remembered
and members with the most years of membership
were honored. Supreme Board Member, Jack O'Reilly was the guest speaker
and State
Deputy Donald Cubbage presented a
congratulatory proclamation from Supreme Knight Carl Anderson.
Assumption Council 1099, domiciled
in Napoleonville, was chartered on March 11,
1906
