Meeting held on February 17, 2010
Meeting was held at and sponsored by Ludo Vicum Council
# 4663.
Meeting was opened with a prayer by Metro President
Jerry Tarantino at 7:55 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.

MINUTES:
Motion was made and seconded
that the minutes of the previous meeting be accepted as published. Motion
was accepted by a voice vote.
TREASURERs REPORT:
On January 31st,
the checking balance was $741 and the investment account balance was $
4,408. Received was $25 council dues. Expenses totaled $6. A total of 15
councils and 3 assemblies dues have been collected. Encouraged all councils
to file with the IRS by May 15th. There are no bills and no
communications.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Next meeting will be hosted by Norte Dame Seminary on
March 17th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. The following meetings are
scheduled for April 21st , May 19th, and June 21st.
Locations are to be announced.

New Business Special Olympics are in need of
a bowling bag and bowling bowl. More information will be presented by
Dennis Cass at the next meeting.
Membership Exemplications will be held as
follows:
1st degree on
February 22, 2010 at Marquette.
2nd and 3rd
degree on February 28th in Baton Rouge.
1st degree on
February 24th will be held across the lake.
1st degree on
February 25th in Westwego.
4th degree on
February 27th at St. Ritas in Harahan
As of last month, the state had a record
low of new members. There were only 50 new members, 62 have dropped out.
The state needs 1600 members. By June 30th, hopefully we will
reach 1300 members. 122 councils have still not recruited. 45 councils
have not returned in their new officers forms from last year. 86 councils
have not turned in their directory.

Upcoming Events:
Council 4663 - Ludo Vicum
free throw contest has been completed. Substance abuse poster contest has
also been completed. Fed 160 people at St. Joseph through our Feed the
People campaign.

Council 2878 Fr. Seelos
Council no report.
Council 9007 St. Angela
Merici On April 17th, a 4:00 quarterly Mass followed by a
crawfish party at 6:30.
Council 3246 ED White
Council Superbowl dance was successful.
Council 8546 St. Francis of
Assisi completed renovating the new church. Dedication and reception was
held. Over 650 people attended. Lenten fish fries will be held February 26th,
March 12th, and March 26th. Try to have drive thru
pickup. March 19th will be our annual St. Joseph alter which can
be viewed from 8-6 with a free meal from 11-2.
Council 1437 Marquette
Council Mardi Gras was a success. Over $500 raised for Haiti. An Easter
Egg hunt will be held on Palm Saturday.
