Huval was employed as an
Insurance and finance executive, CEO for The Huval Group. He also managed
the General Adjustment Bureau in Lafayette and New Iberia. He is a member
of numerous financial and insurance organizations, and past president of
the St. Martin Parish Insurance Exchange, Southwest Louisiana Claims
Association, and the Iberia Defensive Driving Association. Patrick is a
former member of the New Iberia Kiwanis Club. Huval has sat on the Board
of Directors of the Farmers Merchant Bank and Trust Company since 1979.
Huval joined St. Joseph
Council 4927 in 1960 after being recruited by his brother George. Huval's
father, Aldus, also was a member. Between 1966 - 78, Patrick Huval served
as a Grand Knight, district deputy, state insurance chairman, state
community activity chairman, state secretary and state deputy.
"I believe the
accomplishments I am most proud of are St. Joseph Council winning the
State Deputy Award when I served as grand knight, and convincing the
knights to pass a much needed per capita tax to more adequately pay our
employees when I served as state deputy."
