Robert joined Bishop Van de Ven Council 3200 in 1963,
located in Alexandria. He served two terms as Grand Knight, as well as
terms as district deputy, state activity chairman, state advocate, state
treasurer and state secretary.
"I was 27 when Jimmy Jeansonne recruited me for
the local council. A firm desire to work with others in functionalizing
the KC's principles, both at the Third and Fourth Degree levels, led me to
join the organization. My father, Octave Ludger Gremillion, Sr., also
provided an example to me as a member of the KCs. As Grand Knight,
bringing together the area's knights and the leaders of the local Masonic
Order was most rewarding to me. As state deputy, I am proud of everything
we were able to accomplish during my administration."
